Ace Hardware’s 300,000-square-foot headquarters seamlessly integrates the company’s 100-year legacy into an iconic architectural setting. For the first time, over 1,000 employees are united under one roof. Despite a limited budget, we transformed the space into a vibrant corporate environment that embodies the Ace brand, celebrates its heritage, and supports a dynamic, collaborative workplace.
An extensive programming effort led to an adaptable floor plan that holds 1,000+ employees on three floors while maintaining critical adjacencies and a plan for future growth. The new building’s large floor plates and historically significant existing architecture presented unique design opportunities. Our team was able to seamlessly blend the existing natural materials with Ace's industrial aesthetic to create a modern, welcoming space.
